Words in the Market
Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild members will be reading from their work at the Saskatoon Farmers' Market at 12 noon on August 18 and 25, as well as September 7, 15, 22 and 29.

Sustainable Gourmet, Sept. 21
I’m looking forward to attending the Sustainable Gourmet dinner hosted by the Saskatchewan Environmental Society on September 21. Local food prepared by local chefs.

Prairie Sun Brewery, Oct. 5
Prairie Sun Brewery will be celebrating their Grand Opening with an Oktoberfest on October 5.

SweetSugarBean Eats Out
I’m looking forward to reading Renée Kohlman’s (aka sweetsugarbean) restaurant reviews in the Saskatoon StarPhoenix. The first one is this week, and it’s for one of my favorite restaurants.

Good Earth Coffeehouse and Bakery
Good Earth Coffeehouse and Bakery will be opening soon beside State & Main. They are looking for someone to buy the franchise.

Haskap Liqueur
Haskap liqueur is back in stock at LB Distillers.

Harvest Eatery, Shaunavon
If you’re taking a road trip to the southwest corner of our province, check out the Harvest Eatery in Shaunavon. It sounds good in the review - a copper-tiled ceiling and locally-sourced food.

Community Wood Oven
Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, has a community wood-fired cob oven. There are bi-weekly workshops in the summer (Pizza, Wood-fired Desserts). Sounds like fun. I know this is something Bryn Rawlyk (@brynrk) would like to bring to Saskatoon.

Top 20 Vegetarian & Vegan Restaurants in the US
Check out this slideshow of the top 20 vegetarian and vegan restaurants in the US. They all look good to me!
